If cost is a concern\, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We are happy to provide the option that will allow you to attend. Call/Text (502) 303-1996 or email us at info@familyrenewalproject.com. \n\nMEN (especially those who are engaged or newly married) this is for YOU! On Saturday\, May 24 you will have a unique opportunity to discover and reflect on your call to be a man in marriage. In the Steps of Christ\, the Bridegroom: Following the Son of Man to Be a Man in Marriage will focus on living sacrificial love for a healthy marriage. This retreat-style day of reflection will be led by Fr. Jonathan Erdman (see bio below). \nThis is not just another event — it’s an opportunity to be the man you are called to be! The event is open to all married men; however priority will be given to engaged and newly married men (3 years or less). \nSpace is limited. Registration is required. \nTo give priority to engaged and newly married men\, all men who are married more than 3 years will be placed on a first come/first serve wait list until May 14 (10 days prior to the event). On May 14\, if space is available\, these men will be notified in the order their registrations were received and given the option to attend OR receive a refund of the registration fee. \nTo reserve your spot\, please complete the registration form below.  \nThe day will include:  \n\na simple continental breakfast and lunch\nbeverages and snacks throughout the day\nfour (4) talks by Fr. Erdman\na list of curated resources specific to each talk\nsmall and large group discussion\nmidday prayer and time for personal prayer\nadoration\, confession\, and benediction\n\nThe day of reflection will conclude in the church at 4:00pm. Jonathan Erdman\n \nFather Jonathan Erdman was born in Mahoning Township\, Pennsylvania in 1978. He is the son of an Episcopal Priest. Father Erdman received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri – Rolla in 2000\, and his MDiv from Yale University Divinity School in 2004. He was an Episcopal priest for twelve years before he and his family converted to the Catholic Church in July of 2016. He was ordained a Catholic priest on June 29\, 2017.  \nFather Erdman and his family came to Louisville in July of 2010 from New York City\, where he served as Curate and Youth Minister at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue. From 2010 to early 2016 he served as Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church in Louisville. He and his wife\, Andrea\, have five beautiful children. \nFather Erdman is passionate about preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is committed to pastoral ministry and worship\, and in making the riches of the traditions of the Church available\, especially the patrimony of the Anglican Catholic tradition. She has clinical experience helping individuals\, couples\, and families overcome issues\, with an emphasis on integrating modern psychological science and a Catholic anthropology in order to achieve lasting\, meaningful changes. In 2019\, Elina became the founding therapist for FRP‘s Good Shepherd Institute of the Bluegrass Catholic Counseling Center. In 2021\, she transitioned out of clinical work to being a fulltime stay-at-home wife & mother and part-time psychoeducational presenter.  She and her husband\, Jonathon are the proud parents of five beautiful children. \nWhat is IPS/Divine Mercy University? In 1999\, a group of psychologists and academicians saw the immense need for an institution of higher education that could bring psychology into harmony with the truth and wisdom of the Catholic-Christian vision of the human person\, a life of virtue and moral values.
