The FRP instructors will use the DVD series from Ascension Press entitled\,  Into the Heart. This is actually a 16-part study that we have condensed into 8 sessions \nReceive the tools necessary to develop the sacramental worldview so crucial to living an authentic human sexuality. Some may say “youth minister\,” but after five years of dedication to youth\, John realized that developing disciples was the ultimate goal. \nJohn has attended & led pilgrimages to the last 5 World Youth Days: Madrid\, Spain; Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil; Kraków\, Poland; Panama City\, Panamá and he and his wife attended WYD in Lisbon\, Portugal in 2023. \nFor over six years\, John served as the only male chastity instructor in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Every school year he & one of his female counterparts would teach a multi-day course at over 40 schools (Catholic\, private\, and public). \nJohn is the first and currently the only person in the Archdiocese of Louisville to have completed his Master’s Certification in Theology of the Body from the TOB Institute … a major accomplishment! \nJohn married his wonderful wife\, Crystal in October of 2019. Together they strive to understand\, embrace and live Theology of the Body! After many years of struggling with infertility\, they are expecting their first child in late September. \n******************** \n\n\n \n\nJustin Leiner\nFRP Classroom Presenter & Content Specialist \nJustin was born & raised in the great state of Alaska! He enjoys swing dancing and rock climbing and is a generous self-giver (he donated one of his kidneys to a total stranger)! \nJustin has a degree in Theology from St. John’s University (Collegeville\, MN) and is currently pursuing a Masters in Psychology from Divine Mercy University. After graduating from college he served as a FOCUS missionary for three years at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green\, Ohio. \nJustin has completed the 8 required masters level courses at the Theology of the Body Institute in pursuit of his Certification in Theology of the Body. The facilitators will use the DVD series from Ascension Press\, An Intro to Theology of the Body: Discovering God’s Master Plan for Your Life. Both are cradle Catholics\, but neither knew nor practiced their faith until each had separate conversion experiences in college. After years of friendship and growing in their relationship with the Lord\, Vincent and Lucia were married in 2023. They live in Louisville with their baby daughter\, Sofía. \nLucia\, a native of Orlando\, Florida\, is a competitive ballroom dancer; she enjoys puzzles and games\, and she directs the choir and theatre programs at Holy Angels Academy. Lucia has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has spent the last few years teaching middle and high school mathematics at Holy Angels; she is now an Executive Assistant with St. Joseph Ministries. \nVincent grew up in Louisville\, and in his free time enjoys brewing wine and mead\, long conversations over good bourbon and a pipe\, and keeping bees with his dad. He is also a co-host of Spirit & Spire\, a podcast at the Cathedral of the Assumption. Both are cradle Catholics\, but neither knew nor practiced their faith until each had separate conversion experiences in college. After years of friendship and growing in their relationship with the Lord\, Vincent and Lucia were married in 2023. They live in Louisville with their baby daughter\, Sofía. \nLucia\, a native of Orlando\, Florida\, is a competitive ballroom dancer; she enjoys puzzles and games\, and she directs the choir and theatre programs at Holy Angels Academy. Lucia has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has spent the last few years teaching middle and high school mathematics at Holy Angels; she is now an Executive Assistant with St. Joseph Ministries. \nVincent grew up in Louisville\, and in his free time enjoys brewing wine and mead\, long conversations over good bourbon and a pipe\, and keeping bees with his dad. He is also a co-host of Spirit & Spire\, a podcast at the Cathedral of the Assumption. The facilitators will use the DVD series from Ascension Press\, An Intro to Theology of the Body: Discovering God’s Master Plan for Your Life. They recognize that their faith and TOB shaped and guided them in building a sturdy foundation for the Sacrament of Matrimony and they continue to use the teachings to guide them in their decisions and grow closer in relationship to God. After years of friendship and growing in their relationship with the Lord\, Vincent and Lucia were married in 2023. They live in Louisville with their baby daughter\, Sofía. \nLucia\, a native of Orlando\, Florida\, is a competitive ballroom dancer; she enjoys puzzles and games\, and she directs the choir and theatre programs at Holy Angels Academy. Lucia has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has spent the last few years teaching middle and high school mathematics at Holy Angels; she is now an Executive Assistant with St. Joseph Ministries. \nVincent grew up in Louisville\, and in his free time enjoys brewing wine and mead\, long conversations over good bourbon and a pipe\, and keeping bees with his dad. He is also a co-host of Spirit & Spire\, a podcast at the Cathedral of the Assumption. Registration is now CLOSED* \nLCW invites you to experience “The Beatitudes Gaze of Christ: Encountering Christ in Spiritual Poverty” \n \nThis meditative retreat will include reflections on the relationship between spiritual poverty and the Beatitudes\, time for personal prayer\, lectio divina\, silence\, adoration\, confession\, and Mass celebrated by Fr. She teaches at Saint Aloysius parish in the Archdiocese of Louisville\, Kentucky. After studying English literature at the University of Dallas\, she has continued pursuing the Lord through family life with her husband\, Joseph\, and their five growing children. Inspired by the Lord’s work within her own heart over the course of a two-year Ignatian spiritual exercises retreat\, Julia has pursued the study of the spiritual exercises\, particularly the guidance of others in the 19th annotation form of the spiritual exercises\, through multiple courses. In his free time\, Preston enjoys golf\, running\, and working on house projects with his wife. \nAmanda was introduced to Theology of the Body [TOB] through her high school youth group and during her senior year of high school she read TOB for Beginners by Christopher West. They recognize that their faith and TOB shaped and guided them in building a sturdy foundation for the Sacrament of Matrimony and they continue to use the teachings to guide them in their decisions and grow closer in relationship to God.
