SUMMARY:TOB 2 Crash Course: Meaning\, Service\, and True Joy
DESCRIPTION:Date/Time:\nFriday\, May 15 (6:30pm – 9:30pm) AND\nSaturday\, May 16 (8:30am – 4:30pm) \nLocation: St. Patrick Catholic Church |1000 N Beckley Station Rd. \nCost: $20 per person or $30 per couple/Household. FREE for college students\, missionaries\, and clergy. \nHow often do we ask ourselves: “Where are we going? How do we get there?” We are all searching for meaning in life\, and we long for a deep sense of direction. Meaning\, Service\, and True Joy is part 1 of a 2-part deep dive into the Theology of the Body – looking more deeply into the concepts of Identity\, Purpose\, and True Happiness (our Intro to TOB course). \nThrough exploring topics such as self-gift and service\, we will seek to discover God’s secret to true unshakable joy and meaning in life. The understanding of the gift that you are will sink deeply into the hearts of all who attend. \nEven if you’ve not attended a previous TOB course\, you are welcome! We only ask that you maintain an open heart and an attitude of receptivity to the more sensitive topics that naturally come up during these deeper discussions. Have you ever noticed the word intimacy as “in-to-me-see”? Along with your open heart\, come with eyes that long to see the way God sees. \nMeaning\, Service\, and True Joy (TOB 2) is designed to be a 16-session study (i.e. 16 weekly gatherings); but we have consolidated all 16 sessions into only two weekend crash courses. The first crash course on May 15-16 is Part 1 and will cover the first eight sessions; Part 2 (the final eight sessions) will be scheduled sometime this Fall 2026. \nThis course has been approved by the Archdiocese to fulfill continuing education hours for catechists. \nParticipants under age 18 may attend if accompanied by parent/guardian. \nFor questions or more information\, please contact us at: \ninfo@familyrenewalproject.com | 502.303.1996  \nRegister for Event\nFill out my online form.

SUMMARY:St. Joseph: Protector of Mary and Jesus
DESCRIPTION:This event is facilitated by Fr. Adam Carrico \nWho: All adults & mature children accompanied by a parent \nDate: Saturday\, April 25 \nTime: 9:30 – 11:30am \nLocation: FRP HQ | 4545 Bishop Ln\, Suite 201 \nCost: $5 per Individual | $8 per Couple/Household | FREE for Clergy\, College Students\, and Missionaries (Includes Handouts\, Snacks\, and Drinks) \n\nCourse Overview:\nFrom the beginning of time\, God had St. Joseph chosen to be His adoptive father–to show the Son of God an example of masculinity and assume responsibility of being a husband to Mary\, both conceived without sin. Despite this obscure and scandalous situation\, St. Joseph steps up to answer the call God has placed upon him to become the provider and protector of what is Salvation History. We will break open how St. Joseph\, as the head of the Holy Family\, is the prime example of how to live the Theology of the Body in our relationships. \nSt. Joseph: Protector of Mary and Jesus will be held on Saturday\, April 25 at FRP HQ (4545 Bishop Ln\, Suit 201) starting 9:30am-11:30am.  \nIn November 2025\, Fr. Carrico gave a presentation entitled “Holy Mary\, Mother of God–Jesus’ First Dwelling Place”. The talk was very well attended and all in attendance expressed interest in Father giving a talk on St. Joseph.  We hope you will join us on April 25 … we know you will be glad you did!  Invite your fellow parishioners\, friends\, & family to attend too! \nFacilitator:\nFather Adam Carrico was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Louisville on December 19\, 2015.  Father was born and raised in Saint Aloysius parish in Pewee Valley where he graduated from grade school in 1997. He attended Saint Xavier High School (2001) and UofL\, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history (2006). He entered Saint Meinrad Seminary in 2008 where he earned both master of divinity and master in Catholic philosophical studies degrees. Upon his ordination to the priesthood Father was assigned to Saint Gabriel as Associate Pastor\, then a year later (2016) moved to Saint Patrick as Associate Pastor while also serving at Saint Boniface. In 2019 he became the Pastor at Ascension and in 2023 the Pastor at Saint Aloysius in Shepherdsville and Saint Benedict in Lebanon Junction where he continues to serve today.  \nDuring his early years of seminary studies\, Father Carrico developed an interest in mental health advocacy and ministry. After losing his brother\, Kurtis\, to suicide in 2012\, Father’s commitment to those who suffer from mental illness and thoughts of despair deepened even more. Father is enthusiastic about many things\, including Theology of the Body and the universal truths of the human person; truths that not only renew the personhood of a man as priest of Jesus Christ\, but the personhood of those to whom every priest is called to serve. \n*Fr. Carrico has attended (4) 30-hour immersion courses at the TOB institute: \n\nTOB 1: “Head and Heart”\nTOB 2: “Into the Deep”\nTOB & the Interior Life\nTOB & the Marian Mystery\n\nRegister for Event\n Fill out my online form.

SUMMARY:Life-Giving Wounds Book Study
DESCRIPTION:Details:\nWho: Adult Children of Divorce (18+) \n\nDates: Weekly on Tuesdays starting February 17th and ending on April 14th \nTime: 7:30pm-9pm \nLocation: St. Louis Bertrand Campus | 1104 S 6th St. \nCost: $20 (includes your copy of the LGW book\, weekly snacks & drinks) | $10 if you already have the book \n  \nFRP invites you to join a book study on Life-Giving Wounds by Dr. Daniel Meola and Beth Meola. This study is created especially for those who have been impacted by the divorce or separation of their parents and are seeking a space for reflection\, healing\, and hope. \nOur gatherings will meet from 7:30pm-9pm and will be gently facilitated to curate a space of safety\, confidentiality\, and respect. Together\, we will read and reflect on the book\, share at our own comfort level\, and explore how God can bring healing and life even from painful family experiences. No one will ever be required to speak—listening is always a full form of participation. \nThis is not a therapy group\, but a faith-based\, relational space grounded in compassion\, prayer\, and honest conversation. The goal is to foster connection\, name wounds that often go unseen\, and support one another as we move toward greater wholeness. \nThis book study will be facilitated by Fr. John Baptist and Ayane Mundy. \nWhat is Life Giving Wounds?\nNo matter your age when it happened\, the effects of your parents’ divorce or separation are deep and long-lasting. Life-Giving Wounds is a national ministry specifically for adults (18+) whose parents are divorced or separated — providing a unique opportunity for men and women who are the children of divorced or separated parents to give voice to their pain and experience Christ’s transformational healing\, together with peers who know the challenges that broken homes cause. \nClick HERE for answers to Frequently Asked Questions. \nRegister\n Fill out my online form.

This promises to be a deeply moving and transformative experience. \nThe popular Awaken Series\, presented by Family Renewal Project\, is open to all adults—no previous participation required\, so bring your neighbors\, family\, and friends! This course will fill quickly\, so don’t miss out on this inspiring 1-day retreat…register today! \nFor more information\, call/text 502.303.1996 or email info@familyrenewalproject.com. \n  \n\n\nFacilitator:\n\n\n \nJohn Sohl serves full-time as the Director of Discipleship for Family Renewal Project. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University who loves hunting\, fishing\, hiking\, theater\, videography\, and playing baseball. \nAfter discerning the call to the priesthood\, John transitioned from seminary to the role of discipleship leader in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Some may say “youth minister\,” but after five years of dedication to youth\, John realized that developing disciples is the ultimate goal. \nJohn has attended and led pilgrimages to the last 5 World Youth Days: Madrid\, Spain; Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil; Kraków\, Poland; Panama City\, Panamá; and Lisbon\, Portugal (accompanied by his wife\, Crystal). \nFor over six years (2015-2022)\, John served as the only male chastity instructor in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Every school year he and one of his female counterparts would teach a multi-day course at over 40 schools (Catholic\, private\, and public). \nIn March 2022\, John became the first and remains the only person in the Archdiocese of Louisville to complete his master’s level coursework [eight 30-hour immersion courses\, testing\, papers\, and an in-depth practicum] and receive the distinguished Certification in Theology of the Body from the TOB Institute — a major accomplishment! \nTogether\, John and his wife\, Crystal\, strive to understand\, embrace\, and live Theology of the Body! They were married in October of 2019 and after four years of infertility\, they welcomed their first child (a daughter) in September of 2024. \n\n\nFor questions or additional information\, please contact us:\n502.303.1996 (call or text)\nemail: info@familyrenewalproject.com \nRegister for Event\nFill out my online form.
