These dates avoid Fall Break\, the Solemnity of All Saints\, and are intentionally set before the Advent Season to accommodate as many of our schedules as possible. \n\n\n\n\n\nFacilitators:\nFather Adam Carrico was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Louisville on December 19\, 2015.  Father was born and raised in Saint Aloysius parish in Pewee Valley where he graduated from grade school in 1997. He attended Saint Xavier High School (2001) and UofL\, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history (2006). He entered Saint Meinrad Seminary in 2008 where he earned both master of divinity and master in Catholic philosophical studies degrees. Upon his ordination to the priesthood Father was assigned to Saint Gabriel as Associate Pastor\, then a year later (2016) moved to Saint Patrick as Associate Pastor while also serving at Saint Boniface. In 2019 he became the Pastor at Ascension and in 2023 the Pastor at Saint Aloysius in Shepherdsville and Saint Benedict in Lebanon Junction where he continues to serve today.  \n  \nDuring his early years of seminary studies\, Father Carrico developed an interest in mental health advocacy and ministry. After losing his brother\, Kurtis\, to suicide in 2012\, Father’s commitment to those who suffer from mental illness and thoughts of despair deepened even more. Father is enthusiastic about many things\, including Theology of the Body and the universal truths of the human person; truths that not only renew the personhood of a man as priest of Jesus Christ\, but the personhood of those to whom every priest is called to serve. \n*Fr. Carrico has attended (4) 30-hour immersion courses at the TOB institute: \n\nTOB 1: “Head and Heart”\nTOB 2: “Into the Deep”\nTOB & the Interior Life\nTOB & the Marian Mystery\n\n  \n\n\n \nJohn Sohl serves full-time as the Director of Discipleship for Family Renewal Project. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University who loves hunting\, fishing\, hiking\, theater\, videography\, and playing baseball. \nAfter discerning the call to the priesthood\, John transitioned from seminary to the role of discipleship leader in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Some may say “youth minister\,” but after five years of dedication to youth\, John realized that developing disciples is the ultimate goal. \nJohn has attended and led pilgrimages to the last 5 World Youth Days: Madrid\, Spain; Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil; Kraków\, Poland; Panama City\, Panamá; and Lisbon\, Portugal (accompanied by his wife\, Crystal). \nFor over six years (2015-2022)\, John served as the only male chastity instructor in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Every school year he and one of his female counterparts would teach a multi-day course at over 40 schools (Catholic\, private\, and public). \nIn March 2022\, John became the first and remains the only person in the Archdiocese of Louisville to complete his master’s level coursework [eight 30-hour immersion courses\, testing\, papers\, and an in-depth practicum] and receive the distinguished Certification in Theology of the Body from the TOB Institute — a major accomplishment! \nTogether\, John and his wife\, Crystal\, strive to understand\, embrace\, and live Theology of the Body! People of all ages are desperately seeking happiness\, and whether they realize it or not\, they long for what is good\, true\, and beautiful. Then worked as a Campus Minister for two years before making his way to Kentucky as a full-time member of the FRP Discipleship Team where he serves as a Classroom Presenter / Content Specialist and Coordinator of the Catholic Couples Network Ministry. \nIn his role as Classroom Presenter\, Justin & his Teammates give presentations on the dignity of the human person and ‘healthy relationships’ to middle & high school students in over 40 classrooms throughout KYANA. \nJustin has completed the eight (8) required master’s level courses at the Theology of the Body Institute in pursuit of his Certification in Theology of the Body. On Saturday\, May 24 you will have a unique opportunity to discover and reflect on your call to be a man in marriage. In the Steps of Christ\, the Bridegroom: Following the Son of Man to Be a Man in Marriage will focus on living sacrificial love for a healthy marriage. This retreat-style day of reflection will be led by Fr. Jonathan Erdman (see bio below). \nThis is not just another event — it’s an opportunity to be the man you are called to be! The event is open to all married men; however priority will be given to engaged and newly married men (3 years or less). \nSpace is limited. Registration is required. \nTo give priority to engaged and newly married men\, all men who are married more than 3 years will be placed on a first come/first serve wait list until May 14 (10 days prior to the event). On May 14\, if space is available\, these men will be notified in the order their registrations were received and given the option to attend OR receive a refund of the registration fee. \nTo reserve your spot\, please complete the registration form below.  \nThe day will include:  \n\na simple continental breakfast and lunch\nbeverages and snacks throughout the day\nfour (4) talks by Fr. Erdman\na list of curated resources specific to each talk\nsmall and large group discussion\nmidday prayer and time for personal prayer\nadoration\, confession\, and benediction\n\nThe day of reflection will conclude in the church at 4:00pm. Jonathan Erdman\n \nFather Jonathan Erdman was born in Mahoning Township\, Pennsylvania in 1978. He is the son of an Episcopal Priest. Father Erdman received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri – Rolla in 2000\, and his MDiv from Yale University Divinity School in 2004. He was an Episcopal priest for twelve years before he and his family converted to the Catholic Church in July of 2016. He was ordained a Catholic priest on June 29\, 2017.  \nFather Erdman and his family came to Louisville in July of 2010 from New York City\, where he served as Curate and Youth Minister at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue. From 2010 to early 2016 he served as Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church in Louisville. He and his wife\, Andrea\, have five beautiful children. \nFather Erdman is passionate about preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is committed to pastoral ministry and worship\, and in making the riches of the traditions of the Church available\, especially the patrimony of the Anglican Catholic tradition.
