She teaches at Saint Aloysius parish in the Archdiocese of Louisville\, Kentucky. After studying English literature at the University of Dallas\, she has continued pursuing the Lord through family life with her husband\, Joseph\, and their five growing children. Inspired by the Lord’s work within her own heart over the course of a two-year Ignatian spiritual exercises retreat\, Julia has pursued the study of the spiritual exercises\, particularly the guidance of others in the 19th annotation form of the spiritual exercises\, through multiple courses. During adoration Fr. Casey Sanders\, Associate Pastor @ Holy Trinity Catholic Church\, will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation\, then Father will close with Benediction*. \nInvite your friends\, bring your daughters\, granddaughters\, mothers\, nieces\, etc. Following Benediction we will enjoy fellowship together over pastries & coffee. \n* What is Benediction? Benediction is a devotional ceremony at the end of a period of adoration whereby a priest (or deacon) blesses the congregation making the sign of the cross with the exposed Eucharist. In addition\, she received a bachelor of education in French immersion. After five years of teaching\,  Leslie married Eric Genuis\, and they soon moved to the US.  After raising their 4 children\, homeschooling\, and continuing in education at all levels\, Leslie was introduced to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and her method of education.  This revelation has lead Leslie to exclusively study and educate in the Montessori method especially focusing on the Catechesis Of The Good Shepherd program. In 2016 Leslie began the Catechesis of The Good Shepherd program at St Louis Bertrand Parish and in 2019 at Sacred Heart model school and preschool\, where she still currently works.
