The FRP instructors will use the DVD series from Ascension Press entitled\,  Into the Heart. This is actually a 16-part study that we have condensed into 8 sessions \nReceive the tools necessary to develop the sacramental worldview so crucial to living an authentic human sexuality. Some may say “youth minister\,” but after five years of dedication to youth\, John realized that developing disciples was the ultimate goal. \nJohn has attended & led pilgrimages to the last 5 World Youth Days: Madrid\, Spain; Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil; Kraków\, Poland; Panama City\, Panamá and he and his wife attended WYD in Lisbon\, Portugal in 2023. \nFor over six years\, John served as the only male chastity instructor in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Every school year he & one of his female counterparts would teach a multi-day course at over 40 schools (Catholic\, private\, and public). \nJohn is the first and currently the only person in the Archdiocese of Louisville to have completed his Master’s Certification in Theology of the Body from the TOB Institute … a major accomplishment! \nJohn married his wonderful wife\, Crystal in October of 2019. Together they strive to understand\, embrace and live Theology of the Body! After many years of struggling with infertility\, they are expecting their first child in late September. \n******************** \n\n\n \n\nJustin Leiner\nFRP Classroom Presenter & Content Specialist \nJustin was born & raised in the great state of Alaska! He enjoys swing dancing and rock climbing and is a generous self-giver (he donated one of his kidneys to a total stranger)! \nJustin has a degree in Theology from St. John’s University (Collegeville\, MN) and is currently pursuing a Masters in Psychology from Divine Mercy University. After graduating from college he served as a FOCUS missionary for three years at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green\, Ohio. \nJustin has completed the 8 required masters level courses at the Theology of the Body Institute in pursuit of his Certification in Theology of the Body. At the time\, she could have never imagined the positive impact TOB would have on her future friendships & relationships.  In 2019\, while they were dating\, Preston was introduced to TOB when he and Amanda together read Dr. Edward Sri’s very popular book\, “Men\, Women\, and the Mystery of Love”.  Since then\, Preston has latched onto many of Christopher West’s teachings by attending a live Made for More event\, becoming a weekly listener of the Ask Christopher West podcast\, and making a TOB pilgrimage to Fatima and Spain in 2022. \nAmanda & Preston brought Theology of the Body into their relationship at the very beginning and keep it at the center. They recognize that their faith and TOB shaped and guided them in building a sturdy foundation for the Sacrament of Matrimony and they continue to use the teachings to guide them in their decisions and grow closer in relationship to God. Registration is now CLOSED* \nLCW invites you to experience “The Beatitudes Gaze of Christ: Encountering Christ in Spiritual Poverty” \n \nThis meditative retreat will include reflections on the relationship between spiritual poverty and the Beatitudes\, time for personal prayer\, lectio divina\, silence\, adoration\, confession\, and Mass celebrated by Fr. Zachary Sexton O.P. \n\n\n\nRegistration is required as lunch and snacks will be provided! \n\nRSVP for the Event by completing the form at the end of the page. \n  \n\n\nMarch 16 @ 9 am – 3 pm \nLocation: St. Luke Catholic Church \nCost: $10 \nNursing infants welcome \n  \nRetreat Facilitator: Julia O’Connor \n\n \nJulia O’Connor is a trained catechist for Levels One and Two of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. She teaches at Saint Aloysius parish in the Archdiocese of Louisville\, Kentucky. After studying English literature at the University of Dallas\, she has continued pursuing the Lord through family life with her husband\, Joseph\, and their five growing children. Inspired by the Lord’s work within her own heart over the course of a two-year Ignatian spiritual exercises retreat\, Julia has pursued the study of the spiritual exercises\, particularly the guidance of others in the 19th annotation form of the spiritual exercises\, through multiple courses. DESCRIPTION:PLEASE REGISTER BELOW!\n\n\nHEY EVERYONE!\nFor those who attended Awaken Levels 1 & 2 over the last two years since I received my TOB Certification … THANK YOU!  \nIf you weren’t able to make it to those\, I invite you to watch both 4-part video series of Awaken Level 1 (Advanced) & Awaken Level 2 (Advanced) as a way to prepare for Awaken Advanced Level 3! \n* For your convenience HERE is a link to the Level 1 videos  & HERE is a link to the Level 2 videos and the links are also included below. Awaken Advanced Level 3 will also be a fast-paced\, in-depth immersive experience. John is now the first and only person in the Archdiocese of Louisville to have completed his Master’s Certification in Theology of the Body from the TOB Institute … a major accomplishment! Some may say “youth minister\,” but after five years of dedication to youth\, John realized that if he’s really doing his job\, he’s developing disciples. (Those who know him can attest that he’s “really doing his job.”) \nJohn has attended & led pilgrimages to the last 4 World Youth Days: Madrid\, Spain\, Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil\, Kraków\, Poland\, Panama City\, Panamá. \nFrom 2015-2022\, John served as the only male chastity instructor in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Every school year he & one of his female counterparts taught a multi-day course at over 40 schools (Catholic\, private\, and public). \n\n\nJohn has completed (8) of the 30-hour graduate level immersion courses at the Theology of the Body Institute. After completing his practicum last Spring\, John has become the first person in the Archdiocese of Louisville to receive his Master’s Certification in Theology of the Body from the TOB Institute … a major accomplishment!\n\nIn October 2019\, John married his sweetheart\, Crystal.
