After a SOLD OUT event last year, we are moving to a larger venue — The Van Gogh Room at Mellwood Art Center {1860 Mellwood Ave, Louisville, KY 40206}
Doors will open for a social hour at 6pm (includes a cash bar & book tables); the program (including a delicious dinner) will begin at 7pm. *Nursing infants are welcome!Our special guest speaker will be the very knowledgeable and well versed, Mrs. Mary Rice Hasson!
- As an attorney and policy expert, Mrs. Hasson was a keynote speaker for the Holy See during the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, addressing education (2018), women and work (2017), caregiving (2019), and gender ideology (2019).
- She currently serves as a consultant to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family, Life and Youth.
- Mary is the Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, D.C.’s premier institute working to apply the riches of the Judeo-Christian tradition to contemporary questions of law, culture, and politics, in pursuit of America’s continued civic and cultural renewal.
- Director of the Catholic Women’s Forum, on mission to amplify the voice of Catholic women—within the culture and the Church—in support of Catholic teachings. Pope St. John Paul II wrote that women are specially tasked with “bringing full dignity to the conjugal life and motherhood” and “assuring the moral dimension of culture…a culture worthy of the person.” (Christifideles Laici, 51).
- Co-Founder of the Person and Identity Project, a new initiative that equips parents and faith-based institutions to counter gender ideology and promote the truth of the human person.
