Leslie Margaret Genuis was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada and has 10 siblings. She received a bachelor of arts from Franciscan University majoring in theology and French. In addition, she received a bachelor of education in French immersion. After five years of teaching, Leslie married Eric Genuis, and they soon moved to the US. After raising their 4 children, homeschooling, and continuing in education at all levels, Leslie was introduced to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and her method of education. This revelation has lead Leslie to exclusively study and educate in the Montessori method especially focusing on the Catechesis Of The Good Shepherd program. In 2016 Leslie began the Catechesis of The Good Shepherd program at St Louis Bertrand Parish and in 2019 at Sacred Heart model school and preschool, where she still currently works. Leslie recently was hired at St. Stephen Martyr as DFF and will begin CGS in the fall at SMM in the fall 2023.
