Join the growing cohort of friends, teachers, catechists, and other church leaders as you learn what it means to discover your story. Our three Pioneer Courses cover Discover Your Story Levels 1-3: The Wonders of Genesis. Understanding Exodus, and The Purpose of Christmas. This is the beginning of FRP’s flagship discipleship series, guiding us through the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit and to the truth about our unique call to love. Family Renewal Project invites all teachers, catechists, & other adults to experience this journey with us! During our time together, you will: renew an awareness of the dignity & beauty of the human person; experience a deeper appreciation for God’s creation; explore the gift of Wonder & Awe, Understanding, & Counsel through the lens of Theology of the Body; and discover your story through the mystery of God who became flesh.

Facilitator: John Sohl, Director of Discipleship

John is a graduate of Western Kentucky University who loves hunting, fishing, hiking, theater, videography and playing baseball. John has attended & led pilgrimages to the last 5 World Youth Days: Madrid, Spain; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Kraków, Poland; Panama City, Panamá and he and his wife attended WYD in Lisbon, Portugal in 2023. John is now the first and only person in the Archdiocese of Louisville to have completed his Master’s Certification in Theology of the Body from the TOB Institute … a major accomplishment! John married his wonderful wife, Crystal in October of 2019. Together they strive to understand, embrace and live Theology of the Body!
